Panta Rhei, everything flows (Greek philosopher Heraclitus)

Everything flows alludes to the constant change of all matter. Everything arises and vanishes. As Goethe describes in the poem quoted above, the eternal consists in "invisible being".

The works on these thoughts take up the aspect of eternal change (form dissolution) by means of abstract overlays and diverse line structures and thus refer to "eternal being".

The "whirling" line structures introduced in this work dissolve the forms and bring movement into what is depicted. Everything is in constant change! Depending on the atmosphere we are exposed to as human beings, we feel comfortable or stressed. The motif of an abstract landscape also takes up the theme of our “primal connection” with nature, which was taken up in my OFF-moments series. People need these OFF moments to feel their connection to nature and to recharge their "inner battery".

That is why such works of art that create well-being, provided they are given the chance to do so, are "good-doers"!

Gwyneth Paltrow

This work happened to be while I was reading the December issue of Madame. Gwyneth Paltrow's look on the magazine cover appealed to me and I started a sketch for fun, which then took on a strong momentum of its own and didn't let go of me. The abstract elements of the work and the light came about in this flow and I think that to some extent they reflect the personality of the sitter.

The cloud shown has different degrees of brightness and
contains a variety of colors.
The introduced "whirling" line structures are an indication of the constantly changing cloud form, which is constantly reinventing itself.
The cloud as a symbol for the requirement to flow with things and to reinvent oneself again and again and also as a lucky charm ("walking on clouds").

The "whirling" line structures introduced in this work dissolve the forms and bring movement into what is depicted.
The theme of 'wisdom' presupposes consciousness (symbolized by the eyes) and is a mental quality (hence the form resolution).
